Ante Up for the Library

Issues & Viewpoints Book Discussion
Wednesday, February 1, 1:30pm
This month’s discussion will be on the book The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Set during World War II in Germany, it is a story about a young girl, her love of books, and the ability of books to feed the soul. Books are available at the Library for checkout. Newcomers to the discussion group are encouraged to attend.
Children's Author and Illustrator Visits
Saturday, February 4, 10:30am
Elaine Wilson will share her books, artwork, and stories in a presentation for the whole family. Wilson’s stories, Fisherman Jack’s Secret and Fisherman Jack Meets the River Creatures, were inspired by her father, who spent his summers as a local fishing guide along the White River and winters as a trapper to support their family of eight. Copies of her book will be available for sale and autographing.
Tween Kids Only Winter Art Workshop

Computer Classes
Beginning Computer Classes for adults age 50 are designed for people who have little or no computer experience, introducing you to the basics of using a computer. Each class is a single, 2 hour session. Classes are taught by specially trained Library Volunteers. Classes include:
- Getting Acquainted with the Computer
- Exploring the Internet
- Keeping Your Email Organized
- Safety First: Privacy and Security Online
Internet Classes
Internet classes taught by Reference Librarian Vincent Anderson teach you how to navigate the web and fine-tune your searches to get the most out of the Internet. Internet classes include:
- Learn How to Find it Online (for adults or junior high and high school students, who will find it helpful for homework and research papers)
- Locating Reliable Medical Information Online

eBooks and Audio Books Available @ Your Library
Getting Started
Simply click on the “Library2Go” button above to browse the Library's selection of eBooks and audio books. A Library Card Number and PIN are necessary. eBooks can be checked out for a period of two weeks and will expire when that time is up. Audio books can be checked out for one week. All mobile devices require some set up in order to download eBooks and audio books from the Library. For set up instructions, choose from the instructions below or click on the "Library2Go" button and select "Getting Started".

For Kindle or Nook Users..... If you have tried the instructions provided above and still need some help, you may register for a class on how to download eBooks from Library2Go to your device. You must be able to bring your Kindle or Nook with you to class and have a Library Card and PIN.
